Sign Permits

All signs are subject to regulations, often regarding public safety and visual amenity:

  • will the sign stand local wind loads
  • is the foundation appropriate for ground conditions? Will it withstand an earthquake?
  • does the installation process put the public at risk?
  • is traffic management necessary during installation?
  • does the sign unfairly interfere with the viewing rights of neighbors?
  • is the sign appropriate for the location or planning zone?

Offences against the Resource Management Act, Building Act or local body bylaws can be costly in time, money and emotions! By preparing and submitting appropriate applications we safeguard your investment by ensuring consent requirements are met.

We have a library of engineer producer statements for our standard sign types and can furnish site specific producer statements where necessary.
